Bokina Faso Anti-aircraft forces intercepted a Nigerian unauthorized aircraft in AES airspace. The Nigeria plane was forced to land in Bobo-Dioulasso: 2 pilots and 9 soldiers detained.

Following this incident, the President of the Confederation of Sahel States, General Assimi Goïta, now authorizes AES forces to shoot down any unauthorized aircraft in the AES airspace
