Dangote Refinery Implements Significant Petrol Price Reduction

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has officially announced a major downward adjustment in the wholesale cost of its Premium Motor Spirit. In a strategic move to ease domestic energy costs, the multi billion dollar oil refining facility reduced its petrol ex gantry price by exactly seventy-five Naira per litre.

This latest price modification effectively lowers the bulk loading rate from the previous benchmark of one thousand two hundred and fifty Naira down to one thousand one hundred and seventy-five Naira per litre.

The pricing shift represents a significant effort by the private refinery to pass accumulated cost savings directly to downstream oil marketers and independent distributors across the country.

According to an official circular distributed directly to major fuel marketers, the proactive price reduction was primarily triggered by a notable de-escalation of geopolitical tensions within the Middle East region.

This stabilization in the global arena subsequently caused a sharp correction and decline in international crude oil benchmarking rates. In addition to the primary gantry price revision, the Lekki based petroleum refinery lowered its coastal loading price by over one hundred thousand Naira per metric tonne.

All outstanding and previously booked but unloaded gantry volumes will be automatically repriced at the new subsidized rate, creating immediate cost relief that industry analysts hope will translate into cheaper retail pump prices for Nigerian motorists.
