DIG Mba, a highly respected officer known for his eloquence, professionalism, and exceptional public communication skills, joined the Nigeria Police Force in May 1992 as a cadet officer. He rose steadily through the ranks, serving in various strategic positions, including as the Force Public Relations Officer on multiple occasions and as the Lagos State Police Command spokesman. His tenure as a three time national police spokesman earned him widespread recognition for redefining police public engagement, projecting a more approachable and professional image of the Force, and earning accolades such as a UN Medal for his service with the United Nations Mission in Liberia between 2006 and 2007.
In his final role as DIG in charge of Training and Development at Force Headquarters, Mba contributed significantly to capacity building and institutional reforms within the police.
