For the Peoples Democratic Party, the apex court addressed appeals seeking to validate or nullify the national convention held in Ibadan, Oyo State, in November 2025. One faction, led by former Minister Tanimu Turaki, challenged lower court decisions regarding the convention’s outcome and the party’s national secretaryship.
The ruling directly impacts control of the PDP’s machinery, including the power to issue notices for meetings, congresses, and primaries.
